The band was formed in October 2006 by its original members: Roberto on the bass guitar, Steve on the triangle and Carlos on vocals and instrument programing, under a diiferent name, Ninfomania Rectal. Later on Steve left the band so the decision of changing its name and concept was made, thus Prince Albert was born under a pornogrind theme. In December 2006 Carlos M. was recruited for guitars and a couple of months later David joined the band on the drums. On september 1st 2007 they performed their first and last show as Prince Albert, changing their name to Thanatopsis afterwards. A couple of months after the first show the band decides that it was time for David to leave, Ivan replaced him on the drums the very same day. In december, Douglas (ex-Prockq) joined the band, to bring his unique sound and experience. With this new addition Thanatopsis line up was completed and they began recording their first demo. Thanatopsis is grindcore with a spin, Hope you like it.
